Neither Walse Patil nor Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Anand Limaye responded to messages on the transfer case. An IAS said, “The manner in which the orders were canceled reflects the condition of the MVA government, especially the NCP-controlled home department. We expected the situation to improve after Walse Patil came to power, but now It has been established that this is a bad administration.” the officer said.
On Wednesday, the Home Department led by Walse Patil promoted and transferred 29 high-ranking officers, including 11 SP rank officers DIG and 14 DIG IG rank officers.
The Home Department on Thursday issued an order canceling the transfers of five IPS officers – Rajendra Mane, Mahesh Patil, Sanjay Jadhav, Punjabrao Ugale and Datta Shinde. had agreed DCP (State Intelligence) posted as Additional CP, Thane on promotion; Mahesh Patil was DCP, Mira-Bhayander, promoted as Additional CP-Traffic, Mumbai; Sanjay Jadhav, SP, Highway Safety, has been promoted and posted as Additional CP, Thane; Ugale, SP, ACB, Thane was promoted and posted as Additional CP (LA), Mumbai; Datta Shinde was the SP, Palghar and was promoted and posted as Additional CP-Protection and Security.
The two-page order, signed by Joint Secretary Venkatesh Bhat, said the transfer orders have been put on hold till further notice, but is silent on why the transfers have been stayed.
