Israel preparing for week-long Gaza campaign: Army

Israel is preparing for weeks-long operations in Gaza, the military confirmed on Saturday. The Israeli military is not holding any ceasefire talks with Islamic Jihad militants.

An army spokesman told AFP news agency that the army was “preparing for the operation as of last week” and “is not currently holding ceasefire talks.”
