India’s Commonwealth Games bronze medalist Sathiyan Gnanasekaran slipped a place to 38th, while compatriot Achanta Sharath Kamal in men’s singles and Manika Batra in women’s singles retained their rankings in the latest ITTF table tennis rankings.

While Sathiyan slipped to 565 points after the WTT Champions Macau Open that ended on Sunday and went past Slovakia’s Yang Wang, who now has 615 points.
Sharath, a double gold medalist of the 2022 Commonwealth Games, maintained a ranking of 43 with a ranking score of 526 points. Manush Shah was the next best Indian in men’s singles with a ranking of 113, while Harmeet Desai is at 122. Manav Thakkar is at 142.
In women’s singles, Manika Batra finished 44th with 575 points, while Sreeja Akula and Archana Girish Kamath finished 77th and 78th with 277 and 272 points respectively. Reeth Tennyson was followed by Ahika Mukherjee at 115th and Diya Parag Chitale at 117th and 122nd.
In pairs, the mixed doubles pair of Sathiyan and Manika are ranked sixth in the world with 1832 points. Manav Thakkar and Archana Kamath are ranked 24th while the pair of Sharath Kamal and Archana Kamath are at 64th position.
