Addressing a review meeting on Nadu-Nedu and maintenance of schools on Wednesday, Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy said that the Collectors and Joint Collectors should lay special emphasis on that, and a special call center to resolve any problem. should be installed.

He also wanted a close watch on the Mid-Day Meal (MDM) scheme to ensure that quality food is provided to the children as per the prescribed menu.

He advised that the headmasters and staff of the Ward/Village Secretariat should play an important role in the maintenance of schools and implementation of MDM scheme.

Shri Jagan Mohan Reddy said that the quality of rice being supplied to schools and Anganwadi centers should be regularly monitored, and rice bags should be clearly labeled for distribution under the MDM scheme.

Apart from this, eggs should be mandatorily stamped, lest action is taken against the supplying agencies, he added.

The Chief Minister ordered the officers to audit the works of the first phase under Nadu-Nedu as per the norms and the audit should be done four times in a year without fail.

He suggested that the services of engineering assistants in ward/village secretariats should be utilized for maintenance of schools, if necessary.

He said that the posts of Anganwadi Supervisor, Worker and Helper should be filled on priority basis.
