YSRCP MPs Vijaya Sai Reddy and Midhun Reddy to join Draupadi Murmu on filing nominations today
Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has extended support to NDA’s presidential candidate Draupadi Murmu, who would be the first tribal woman to hold the post if she wins.
In an official statement, Mr. Jagan said that Ms. Murmu’s candidature is in line with her party’s emphasis on representation of SCs, STs, BCs and minority communities.
However, the Chief Minister will not be able to attend the filing of nomination by Ms Murmu on Friday due to the previously scheduled cabinet meeting. Instead, Rajya Sabha member and party parliamentary affairs leader Vijay Sai Reddy and Lok Sabha member Midhun Reddy will participate, the statement said.
