The wait for Rajinikanth’s much-awaited film Jailor is almost over. To keep up the curiosity among the masses, the makers of the upcoming action comedy have unveiled the official release date teaser of the film. Featuring a star-studded cast in the Nelson Dilipkumar directorial, apart from the Tamil superstar, the one actor who grabbed the limelight in the teaser is none other than Mohanlal. The high-on-beats teaser gives a glimpse of some of the notable actors from the film industry who have been roped in for the jailor. But it seems Mohanlal’s thunderous entry has become the main topic of discussion.
The teaser of Jailor was released by its production house Sun Pictures on 5 May. Starting with the peppy music, we get fleeting glimpses of Shiva Rajkumar, Yogi Babu, Jackie Shroff, Ramya Krishnan, Tamannaah Bhatia and Mohanlal. And of course, by the end, Rajinikanth makes an impressive entry that is bound to elicit many whistles in the movie theatres.
Talking about Mohanlal, the Malayalam superstar will be seen in a cameo role in Jailer. Wearing a quirky animal-printed shirt, teamed with burnt orange trousers, Mohanla looked like a 90s goon. He also sported a set of uber-cool, transparent, orange-tinted sunglasses, almost identical to Vijay Sethupathi’s in Vikram. Roaming around an office complex with all the swagger and carefree, Mohanlal caught a lot of eyes.
Rajinikanth enters in his simple yet swag-filled avatar to seal the teaser. He kicks open a car door as he steps out of the vehicle as a cloud of smoke and dust surrounds him. Before the teaser ends, Rajinikanth, wearing old fashioned, black-rimmed sunglasses, flashes a menacing smile. On the whole, the teaser of Jailor promises a high-octane action entertainer.
Jailor is Rajinikanth’s 169th film, whose music will be composed by Anirudh. The teaser also reveals the release date of the film which is August 10. Jailer marked Rajinikanth’s first collaboration with filmmaker Nelson. As a result, fans are waiting with bated breath to see how the cinematic marvel unfolds when it premieres in theatres. Rajinikanth will play the role of jailer Muthuvel Pandian in the film.
