Jaipur Lit Fest dates announced, set to cover Russia-Ukraine war, climate change

Jaipur : Teamwork Arts Managing Director Sanjay K Roy announced on Wednesday that the 15th edition will be held Jaipur Literature Festival Will be held from March 5-14 at Hotel Clarks Ember in the city.

The organizers also confirmed that this year’s literature festival will cover a range of themes including: Ukraine-Russia conflictClimate change and a new world order. According to the organisers, the festival will also have 15 Indian languages.

“We are happy to be back on the field” Jaipur Literature Festival Weaving its magic again. This year’s event celebrates the diversity of literature and presents a wide range of topics including Ukraine-Russia conflict, climate change, new world order, art of fiction, poetic fiction, travel, science, history and more,” says Sanjay K Roy he said.

The festival will have special sessions focused on Rajasthani heritage and culture, a statement said.

The Mahotsav will showcase various sessions showcasing several dialects of Rajasthan-centric literature.

In a session, poet and eminent litterateur Chandra Prakash Deval will discuss the languages, literature, poetry and music of the desert state with writer and poet Anukreethy Upadhyay.

Rajasthan has long been a dynamic cultural center and home to iconic art forms. In a session on Treasures at the Jaipur Court, author Vandana Bhandari and historian Giles Tillotson will interact with historian Reema Hooja to discuss the splendid treasures deposited and collected over the centuries by the Jaipur court.

There will be a panel discussion with historian Yashaswini Chandra and Reema Hooja for an enlightening conversation about the great warrior king Maharana Pratap.
