The two-day literature festival will bring together writers from across the country from February 19 in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Prabha Khaitan Foundation and Rajasthan Tourism Department are collaborating to organize a literary festival “Shahrnama Kahani: Apne Shahro”. Rajasthan Tourism Minister Vishvendra Singh on Wednesday announced that the festival will feature writers who have written about historical cities like Jaipur, Jodhpur, Delhi, Pushkar, Bhopal and Lucknow.



“They will discuss their life experiences, folk tales, heritage, literature, cuisine and the importance of the past ages and megaliths,” the minister said. He further said that the ministry is dedicated to promoting the tourism industry and several initiatives are being taken to support traditional artistes.


Gayatri Rathore, Principal Secretary, Tourism, also claimed that the state government aims to improve the financial condition of folk artists and provision has been made in the recent budget that they should work for at least 100 days. One year According to the co-directors of the festival, there will be more than 20 seminars during the two-day festival.
