The Jammu and Kashmir government organized a two-day conference on Maternal and Child Health (MCH) at the Sher-e-Kashmir International Convention Center (SKICC) on the banks of Dal Lake in Kashmir. Its aim was to revolutionize the health sector related to mother and child care. Several delegates including senior health experts, doctors and medical students participated in the conference. In this program many things were highlighted through power point presentations, discussions and debates to promote maternal and child health care. Maternal and child care mortality rate is increasing in the country due to lack of awareness. But with the help of new schemes, National Health Mission (NHM) is playing a tremendous role in improving maternal and child health care.
