Guwahati: Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma In a tweet the FIR lodged by Congress MLA from Jharkhand Kumar Jaimangal has been termed as ‘fake FIR’ by the BJP leader alleging the toppling of the present government in the state, adding that “the so called FIR looks like Congress Ottavio is asking Quattrocchi to file a case against Bofors.

Sarma’s tweet was preceded by a series of “fact-sharing” tweets by Assam cabinet minister Piyush Hazarika, where he said, “5 days before filing the fabricated FIR, Hon’ble CM Dr @HimantaBiswa sir took him to the Hon’ble residence”. For helping Coal Minister Shri @JoshiPralhad ji in his trade union related matter on 26th July, 2022 at 9 AM,” Hazarika tweeted. He further said, “Mr. @kumarjayamangal has been meeting HCM Dr. @Himantabiswa sir regularly. He should face the law for making fraudulent allegations against the honorable Chief Minister of Assam and those tribal MLAs,” Hazarika said in another added to the tweet.

Jaimangal lodged an FIR on Monday, a day after three others Jharkhand Congress MLA — Irfan Ansari, Naman Bixal Kongari, and Rajesh Kachhap were caught by the West Bengal Police with a huge amount of cash in their vehicle.
In the FIR against his three-party allies, Jaimangal accused him of trying to topple the government of Hemant Soren in Jharkhand, which is an alliance of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), Congress and RJD.
“Irrfan Ansari and Rajesh Kachhap want me to come to Kolkata and take me to Guwahati in Assam, where, according to them, they will introduce me to Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, who will assure me of a certain ministerial rank, apart from a certain ministerial position. Pennies. Ansari also told me that in the ‘new’ government, he has already been promised a health ministry.
He also alleged in the FIR that he was offered gratification along with ministerial berth if he helped topple the current government of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), a coalition between the Congress and the RJD.
