The ruling United Progressive Alliance (UPA) MLAs have moved out amid the deepening political crisis in Jharkhand. Chief Minister Hemant Soren Official residence to an unknown destination, in three buses. Mr. Soren is also with him.

All three buses were carrying MLAs of the ruling JMM-Congress-RJD alliance and were guarded by security personnel.

Party sources in the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) said the MLAs were on their way to a guest house at Latratu dam in Khunti district, about 40 km from state capital Ranchi. Some JMM leaders termed their outing from Ranchi together as a “weekend visit”.

The development came soon after a marathon third round of meeting of ruling coalition legislators at the chief minister’s residence to chalk out a strategy to deal with the emerging scenario. The ruling legislators attended the meeting with their belongings.
