Meanwhile, three more examinees from different centers in Hazaribagh district also fainted due to heat wave on Saturday, but are out of danger. For the last few days, the temperature in Hazaribagh is currently hovering around 41 to 42 degree Celsius.
Deputy Commissioner Nancy Sahai on Sunday said that though they cannot stop the exams, they have directed the officials to ensure adequate arrangements at the examination centers to beat the heat. “I have asked the authorities to keep emergency medicines and other supplies for the examinees and invigilators from now on,” he said. Many parents have criticized the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) for conducting the exam at the peak of summer.
