New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday distributed appointment letters to 71,000 new recruits through virtual means. National Employment Fair And said that the startup has created more than 40 lakh direct and indirect jobs in the country.

The Prime Minister said that today on the day of Baisakhi, more than 70,000 youths have got government jobs in various departments of the Central Government, the process of giving government jobs is going on fast in NDA and BJP ruled states.
He said, “Appointment letters have been handed over to more than 22 thousand teachers in Madhya Pradesh yesterday.”

Giving details of self-reliance in various sectors of the country including drones, the Prime Minister said that the youth are connecting with new-age technologies.
“The youth of New India are increasingly getting involved in drone manufacturing and becoming drone pilots. For decades our children used to play with toys imported from abroad. New opportunities created. Capital investment. Boosts job creation in infrastructure projects and creates diversified opportunities for youth power,” he said.
Appreciating the health sector in the country, he said that it is becoming a great example of employment generation.
“The port sector is developing. Health sector is also becoming the best example of job creation. Every infrastructure project is creating job opportunities. Farm mechanization has increased in agriculture sector which has increased job opportunities in rural sector. are,” he said.
The Prime Minister said, “India had 74 airports till 2014, now there are 148 airports. New employment opportunities have also opened up due to the increase in airports.”
Meanwhile, the Rozgar Mela is a step towards fulfilling the Prime Minister’s commitment to give top priority to employment generation.
It is expected that the job fair will act as a catalyst in further employment generation and provide meaningful opportunities to the youth for their empowerment and participation in national development.
Under this programme, the Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways and Ayush Sarbananda Sonowal will hand over appointment letters to the newly selected youth at Railway Rang Bhawan Cultural Hall in Guwahati.
Union Minister of State in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas and Ministry of Labor and Employment Rameshwar Teli will hand over the appointment letters at the Imliyangar Memorial Centre, Dimapur.
In this program, 207 candidates in Guwahati, 217 in Dimapur and 225 in Siliguri will be handed over appointment letters from various government departments.
New recruits selected from across the country will work in various posts/posts including Train Manager, Station Master, Senior Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Inspector, Sub Inspector, Constable, Stenographer, Junior Accountant, Postal Assistant, Income Tax under the Government of India. Tax Inspector, Tax Assistant, Senior Draftsman, JE/ Supervisor, Assistant Professor, Teacher, Librarian, Nurse, Probationary Officer, PA, MTS, Other.
New recruits will also get an opportunity to train themselves through Karmayogi Prarambh, which is an online orientation course for all new recruits in various government departments.
