According to a report, due to demand in the technology sector, job postings in India have exceeded pre-Covid levels from September 2021 and have seen a growth of 30.8 percent by the end of March 2022.
The report by global job site Indeed is based on job posting data on the platform from February 2020 to March 2022. Jobs in software and technology roles were in highest demand, up 25.2% from last year, the report further said.
Software and technology segment was followed by management roles (9.7%), IT roles (5%), it said. “We have seen an increase in demand for talent in almost every occupational category, although to a much greater extent in some occupations than others.
Workers in India, especially in the tech segment, have more options and may get more bargaining power than before the pandemic. This could lead to more positive outcomes for employees in terms of higher compensation and workplace benefits,” said Shashi Kumar, Head of Sales, Indeed India.
