In the Johnny Depp-Amber Heard defamation lawsuit, British model Kate Moss has given a very brief testimony, denying that the actor pushed her down the stairs in the 1990s. Instead, Moss said that Depp had come to her aid, according to Deadline. She said that at the time they were staying at Jamaica’s GoldenEye Resort and, during a thunderstorm, “I fell down the stairs and hurt my back when I left the room. I screamed because I was in pain.” ”

Moss said that Depp came to her aid and took her back to the room and had her medical. “He never pushed me, kicked me or threw me down stairs in any way,” she testified from Gloucester, England, where she connected via video link. Depp’s legal team called her as a witness after Heard mentioned the supermodel in her testimony. Moss revealed that Moss and Depp dated from 1994 to 1998.

Hurd’s team decided not to cross-examine Moss, the outlet reported. She testified earlier this month that during one of their arguments in March 2015, Depp pounced on her sister, Whitney, who was near a flight of stairs. Heard said that “in my mind, I immediately think of Kate Moss and the stairs” and then punched Depp for trying to stop. According to Deadline, when the “Aquaman” actor referred to Moss, Depp’s lawyer punched another lawyer, while Depp also smiled because it was an apparent attempt to bring Moss into the case as a rebuttal witness. The opportunity was there.
