JUTA takes out ‘peace march’ on 10th day of Dr Chandra Shekhar’s death – Times of India

Jammu: A large number of members of the Jammu University Teachers Association (shoe) marked the 10th day of the death of Dr. Chandrashekhar as a protest against alleged procedural lapses that led to the death of a faculty member.

The members of Juta were of the view that since the seriousness of the matter is very acute, it should be thoroughly investigated central bureau (CBI).
Referring to the ongoing pen down strike, JUTA President Prof Srivastava said that the teachers union of SKUAST-J has extended its support to the Jammu University Teachers Association in our protest against the procedural lapses that lead to the death of our colleague. .
As a part of the ongoing protest, the members of the Association organized a peace march Around the university campus with placards in hand.
Later, “Shanti Path” was chanted by the teachers of the Sanskrit department and prayers were offered for the departed soul.
He also informed that JUTA also took a conscious decision that since the JUET exam is for admission in the university and hence keeping in view the interest of the students they will not seek postponement of JUET.
However, the university teachers decided not to do any exam duty including JUET.
