Kadri Yogeshwar Math will witness Brahma Kalshotsav from 3 to 6 February

Brahma Kalashotsava is scheduled from February 3 to February 6 to mark the re-consecration of Sri Kala Byraveshwara Deity at the historic Kadri Suvarna Kadali Sri Yogeshwara (Jogi) Mutt in Kadri, Mangaluru.

HK Purushottam, chairman of the Brahma Kalashotsav Committee, said on Saturday, January 28, that over one lakh devotees from across the country are expected to attend the celebrations.

Shri Purushottam told reporters here that various committees and sub-committees were formed under the guidance of Mahant Shri Rajyogi Nirmalanathji of Shri Yogeshwar Math for the successful conduct of the programme. Devotees are expected from Rajasthan, Haryana, Gujarat, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh and other states to participate in the celebrations.

The statue will be installed in the renovated temple

Shri Nirmalanathji, who ascended the Peeth in 2016, has done many development works in the Math. Important among them is the renovation of the Sri Kala Briveshwara temple and surrounding structures at a cost of ₹10 crore. He said that the idol of Kala Byaveshwar made of black granite brought from Gujarat would be installed in the renovated temple during Punar Pratishtha.

Hasiru Horekanike from Kadri Manjunath temple will reach Math on February 3 at 3 pm. The re-establishment program will begin on February 4 at 9 am with the full Kumbh Shobha Yatra of Shri Nirmal Nathji. The procession will return to the Math from Padavu, Nanthoor, Mallikatte, Kadri Temple and Circuit House. There will be religious and stage programs in the evening.

While Panch Kundi Shri Rudra Yagya will be held on February 5 from 9 am, Shri Nirmalanathji will perform Chandika Havan at 5 pm followed by a stage program. The shikhara will be installed from 7 am on February 6, followed by the installation of deities including Shri Kaal Briveshwar and Brahma Kalshotsav.
