Kalyan: Congress’ Welfare After the candidate with less votes was declared the winner, the district youth president election result surprised everyone.
Between November and December last year, the Congress had conducted elections for district youth presidents across the state, including Kalyan. Two candidates from Kalyan in the election- Manish Desale And Anil Patilo Struggled for the position.
However, when the results were declared on Monday, candidate Manish Desale got 1,174 votes as against Anil Patil who got 7,964 votes. However, Desale was declared the winner for the post.
Congress Welfare District President Sachin Pote Said, “As per party norms, only candidates up to the age of 35 years can contest youth elections in the Congress party and since Patil is above 35 years of age, he is not eligible for the post. 35 years It wins elections at a young age.”
Sources said that to win the elections, Patil inducted many youths into the party and everyone was speculating that Patil might win the elections. When the results were declared on Monday, Patil got the most votes as predicted but Desale was declared the winner.
Meanwhile, Patil alleged that some party leaders in the city did not want the development of the party due to which they defeated him.
Patil asked how he was declared a candidate in the election and voted if his age did not fall in the category of youth president.
