He directed Deputy Director Sports, Mudrika Pathak, to organize talent search program at the regional level at Green Park Stadium.
Maurya batted on the virtual pitch inside the audience gallery. MLA Abhijit Sanga picked up the ball and both batted and bowled. Surendra Maithani, a local MLA, stood behind the wicket as the wicket-keeper. After batting, Maurya praised the gallery and said that national and international matches should be held here so that its historical importance can be maintained.
