Kapaleeswarar Temple sends Srisailam deity to Vishalam

In an effort to forge cordial relations between temples in Tamil Nadu and other states, Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Minister PK Sekarbabu on Monday Vastraram (clothes for idols) from the Kapaleeswarar temple in Mylapore to the Mallikarjuneshwara temple in Srisailam, Andhra Pradesh.

The government had proposed to expand it to 10 more temples by which Vastraram Sri Parthasarathy will be sent from Perumal temple to Sri Jagannath temple in Puri and from Dandayudhapani temple in Palani to Ayyappan temple at Sabarimala.
