The Department of Pre-University Education (DPUE), Government of Karnataka has released the Revised Schedule of Second Year Pre-University Examinations on the official website pue.kar.nic.in. As per the revised schedule, the exam will be conducted in two shifts from December 9. Morning shift and afternoon shift will be conducted from 9 am to 12.15 pm and 2 pm to 5.15 pm respectively.
Several student organisations, parents and stakeholders have postponed the exams to make the DPUE finally postpone the mid-term examinations after protests in the state.

Earlier, the exams were scheduled to be held between November 29 and December 16. Speaking to The Indian Express, DPUE Director Snehal R informed that many colleges in Mangaluru were not fully with the syllabus prescribed for the exam, and the department was informed about it. Same.

The decision of evaluation of answer sheets at the district level has also been withdrawn by the department. Instead, the PU college principal will complete the evaluation and submit the result report to the department by December 31. Lecturers are required to submit a compliance report after completing the course. To facilitate this, they have been instructed to take one hour extra class daily.

It will also set up nodal centers in each taluk for distribution of question papers, collection and distribution of answer scripts.
