Karnataka cabinet will finalize exercise in next Delhi visit: CM

Basavaraj Bommai did not specify when his next visit to the national capital would be.

Bangalore:

Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, who completed one year in office on Thursday, said he will discuss with the BJP central leadership about the expansion or reshuffle of his cabinet during his next visit to Delhi and take a final call on the matter. Will arrive.

However, he did not specify when his next visit to the national capital would be.

“A decision has to be taken as a political party in this regard. Maybe I will discuss it next time I go to Delhi. I had expected to speak to JP Nadda (BJP National President) on this when he Will come here, but he could not come (today),” Mr Bommai said in response to a question on the cabinet exercise.

“Next time I go to Delhi, I will discuss it and take a final decision on it,” he said.

JP Nadda was to visit the state on Thursday to participate in a mega rally ‘Janotsav’ at Doddaballapur near here to commemorate one year of the Bommai government and three years of the BJP.

However, in the wake of the killing of a BJP worker in Dakshina Kannada district, Mr Bommai had canceled events organized today to mark the occasion, leading to the cancellation of Nadda’s state visit.

Discontent is rife within a section of the party, and the chief minister has been under tremendous pressure for some time now to make room for new faces ahead of next year’s elections, with no cabinet expansion and cabinet reshuffle.

Although there were reports of some sort of reshuffle by filling five vacancies or leaving a few and adding an equal number of new faces, and talks – a complete overhaul of state ministers like Gujarat – may have taken place, nothing has happened so far. , and many candidates feel that “it is too late now” with the elections approaching.

Shri Bommai said that his government has achieved many achievements during the last one year despite many challenges and has been successful in taking Karnataka forward on the path of development.

He said that his government is a team work with capable administrators, serviceable, experienced, young and energetic people in the cabinet. “My cabinet is with commitment and all of them have contributed to the achievements of the last one year.”
