Karnataka CM will not back down on border issue with Maharashtra

Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said that Karnataka’s stand border issue It is clear and there is no question of going back.

Talking to media persons in Hubli on 14th December, Shri Bommai said that when the Chief Ministers of Karnataka and Maharashtra Meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah together in New Delhi.

Refusing to comment further on the matter, he said Maharashtra had questioned the provisions of the States Reorganization Act and the Supreme Court is yet to decide on the maintainability of the suit. Mr. Bommai said that, as per the Constitution, the trial is not maintainable.

On the Congress party planning a conclave on Mahadavi, the Chief Minister claimed that the letter written by him in blood was the reason for the initiation of the project and that the 5.5 km canal was constructed during his tenure as Water Resources Minister.

Mr. Bommai wanted to know what the Congress has done for this. Congress leader Sonia Gandhi had announced in Goa that she would not allow even a drop of water to go to Karnataka. In fact, the only achievement of the Congress government was the construction of a wall to stop the flow of water into Karnataka, he said.

Purpose of Namma Clinic

The state government will upgrade the ‘Namma Clinics’ being set up across Karnataka, and it will provide a separate grant for this in the next budget.

The objective of setting up ‘Namma Clinic’ is to help the urban poor get the necessary treatment for common ailments like cough, cold and fever and to spread awareness about prevention of communicable diseases.
