The low-lying areas of Panemangalore, Guddayangadi, Aladka, Bogodi, Nandavara, Gudinabali, Bantwal, Kelaginpete, Baddakatte, Navur, Mandala, Sarpadi and Ajilamogaru were inundated. Many residents have been asked to move to safer places on Saturday itself. The Netravati river at Uppinangadi was at 29.70 metres, with the danger level at 31.5 metres. The Gundya river was at 4.9 meters and the danger level was 5 metres.
A loss of around Rs 6.5 lakh is estimated in Udupi on Saturday and Sunday. This includes partial damage (Rs 85000) to five houses in Brahmavar; three houses in Udupi (Rs 2 lakh); two houses in Karkala (Rs 75000); Five houses and a gaushala (Rs 1.70 lakh) in Bindoor; two houses and a cowshed kundapuri (Rs 1.25 lakh) and three classrooms of Ammanwara Toppu, Uppunda village, Bindoor and the total damage was estimated at Rs 2.50 lakh.

Heavy rainfall amount (in mm): Udupi, Kollur (Udupi DT), Panambur (Dakshina Kannada DT), 110 each; Sidhpur (Uttar Kannada DT), Siddhapura (Udupi DT), Mangaluru (Dakshina Kannada DT) 100 each.
All the taluks of DK district received 100% to 200% more rainfall than the average rainfall recorded for the day. In the last 24 hours, Dakshina Kannada district received an average of 143 mm, Udupi 110 mm and Uttara Kannada district 50 mm.
In the last 24 hours, six taluks of DK received over 80 mm of rain. They are: Belthangadi (88 mm), Sulliya (80 mm), Moodbidri (90 mm), Kadaba (102 mm), Puttur (80 mm), Bantwal (83 mm) and Mangaluru taluks received 64 mm of rainfall. Six taluks in Udupi received over 100 mm of rain. They are: Karkala, Udupi, Bindoor, Brahmavar, Hebri and Kaup. Kundapur and Brahmavar received over 79 mm of rain.
