Farmers of the district can download the ‘Kisan Crop Survey App-2022-23’ from Google Playstore on their smartphones and enter the details of crops grown in their fields. The DC said that a total of 353 skilled persons have been appointed in the villages to teach the farmers about using the mobile app.
Shabana M. Shaikh, joint director of the agriculture department, said the information so uploaded would be checked and approved by government officials (called “supervisors”) appointed for each village. 96 supervisors will be appointed in the district.
Shaikh said that if the crop details and photographs recorded by the farmers do not match, the supervisors will reject such information and send it to skilled persons for re-survey.
