Karnataka will recruit 5,000 teachers in 2021: CM Bommai

Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Sunday announced that 5,000 teachers would be appointed in the state in the current year. On the occasion of Teacher’s Day, Bommai was addressing the Best Teacher Award program at Vidhan Soudha’s Banquet Hall.

Speaking at the event, the Chief Minister said, “5,000 teachers will be recruited this year. The 21st century is the century of knowledge. The county is rapidly moving from knowledge to science, science to technology and technology to software. This is inevitable.” That the teachers have to keep pace with the pace. One can become a good teacher only when he is a good student.”

The Chief Minister said that teachers who encourage children to ask questions are true teachers.

Bommai said, “New education policy is being implemented and teachers should come out with their opinion and doubts and discuss the matter openly. Student centric new education policy should be implemented successfully.”

He said, “Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was a rare leader and rationalist. His ideal life is always an inspiration to us.”

The Chief Minister also inaugurated ‘Namma Shale, Nanna Koduge’ software, designed to transfer the contribution made in the development of schools.
