Karva Chauth 2022: Thursday is Karva Chauth, a very auspicious day for married women who observe a fast of ‘Nirjala’ and worship the Lord for their husband’s long life and happy married life. On this occasion, women dress up in the evening like newly wed brides. They apply ‘Mehndi’, wear new traditional attire, and jewelery and all do ‘Sixteen Shringar’ (16 symbols decorated by married women).

The day of Karva Chauth begins with a morning bath before sunrise and a meal called sargi. Fasting for a whole day without drinking water can be difficult for women.   4. Stay in a cool place. Being in hot and humid temperatures can make you feel hungry. So try and maintain a soothing temperature.
  5. Don’t stress: Not eating food throughout the day can be stressful which can make things worse. Focus on why you want to do this and things will get a little easier.
