influence in bollywood India It can only be compared with the love for cricket in the country. And once you are considered as a star in the film industry, every step of your life is a topic of discussion among the audience and fans. And the stars who made headlines recently were Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal. The celebrity couple tied the knot in a private ceremony in Rajasthan and the entire nation was waiting for a glimpse of the newly wed couple.

The craze and frenzy escalated when fans shot videos of Katrina’s shopping bags just to understand or know which designer she wore for her wedding. And as soon as the couple posted the first set of pictures for their fans, the mystery came to an end. It was none other than the famous designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee.

As per reports in Vogue, Katrina Kaif wanted to go the traditional way of wearing an all-red lehenga for the pheras. Sabyasachi told Vogue while talking about working with the couple. “I love working with couples who know who they are and what they want.” Katrina looked gorgeous in a red hand-woven matka silk lehenga covered with teal work and embroidered in velvet with a revival zardozi border.

She completed her look with a traditional veil that was draped over her head. The veil had a hand-made beam in hand-beaten silver. Also, it is understood that no Sabyasachi bride is complete without some iconic jewelery from the brand. For Katrina, she wore a choker made of uncut diamonds set in 22K gold with hand-tied beads from Sabyasachi Heritage Jewellery, reports Vogue. She accessorised her look with matha patti, nath and jhumkis. Reportedly, Mrinalini Chandra made custom kalire for the bride. The couple decided to go with Tiffany & Co. for their engagement band.

It is safe to say and believe that Sabyasachi is the favorite name of brides in India. Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Deepika Padukone, Anushka Sharma, Patralekha Paul are some of the brides who chose their work on their D-Day. Speaking about her experience of designing for Katrina, she said, “Katrina is methodical and meticulous, and it has made it easy for me to interpret her vision through her aesthetic. They are aware of their heritage and personal expression, and blend the two together in a most authentic way, which aligns perfectly with my own vision as a designer. ,

Katrina is known privately in the world of oversharers. Katrina and Vicky decide to stay away from the city and choose Six Senses Fort Barwara, a hotel set in a 14th-century Rajasthani fort, to be the venue of their wedding. “Indian weddings are a sensory experience – from the rich palette of colors and scents of flowers, to the taste of the food and of course, the location itself. Everything plays its part! With beautiful heritage sandstone architecture; venue a part of their vision And honestly, India’s heritage, history, art and culture remains my biggest inspiration, and so it ties in well with my own design repertoire which is firmly rooted in heritage textiles and craftsmanship. implied,” Sabyasachi told Vogue.

Despite all the differences, there is a unique understanding between Vicky and Katrina. “The bride and groom didn’t see what the other was wearing until the wedding day, so it was beautiful to see how their visions harmonized even when we worked on their outfits differently,” he said.

Vicky, who decided to go with Sabyasachi’s design for his wedding, was seen in an ivory silk sherwani with delicate Marori embroidery and gold-plated buttons, which was adorned with the brand’s Bengal tiger logo. Vicky decided to pair her safa with a handcrafted kilangi and completed her look with a statement necklace crafted in emeralds, diamonds, quartz and tourmaline, also by the brand’s high-end jewelery label.
