“KCR’s Party Will Take VRS (Voluntary Retirement): BJP Chief JP Nadda”

BJP President JP Nadda targets ruling BRS in Telangana

Karimnagar (Telangana):

BJP president JP Nadda on Thursday hit out at the ruling BRS in Telangana for alleged corruption, including the recent questioning of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s daughter Kavitha by the CBI in the ‘Delhi Excise Policy Scam’ case.

He said that TRS which was recently renamed as BRS would soon get VRS (Voluntary Retirement).

Addressing a public meeting here on the occasion of the conclusion of the fifth phase of the statewide ‘padayatra’ by Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar, Nadda attacked the BRS citing the CBI probe into MLC Kavitha.

He said, “KCR Sahab may be angry. But, why did the agencies have to call his daughter for questioning. What is the reason? What is there in this?”

Nadda, who accused Chief Minister Chandrashekhar Rao of corruption at the “macro-level”, said the time has come to bid farewell to Rao.

He alleged that BRS ministers and MLAs were involved in corruption at the micro level.

He claimed that Rao had transformed Telangana, which was a prosperous state, into a poor and debt-ridden state.

Nadda also slammed KCR for allegedly promoting family rule and not fulfilling poll promises like two-bedroom houses for the poor, farm loan waiver, distribution of land to Dalits, unemployment bailout and others.

He claimed that the BRS tried to stop Sanjay Kumar’s ‘padayatra’ in previous phases and also his own on Thursday. However, he did not elaborate.

He said, “I would like to tell KCR. This is a democracy and in a democracy, people put oppression in the dustbin.”

He said that the Modi government is working to strengthen all sections of the society, while the KCR government is corrupt and anti-people.

He highlighted the development work done by the NDA government in Telangana including national highways, drinking water schemes and others, making a tribal leader (President Draupadi Murmu) and a Dalit leader (Ram Nath Kovind) the President of the country.

The BJP president hit out at the BRS government on its ‘Dharni’ portal for the land records management system, saying it has become a “mode of loot for the people of BRS”. Alleging that CM KCR did not celebrate ‘Telangana Liberation Day’ on September 17 (the day the Nizam’s state of Hyderabad merged with the Indian Union) because of his links with AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi, Nadda said the Union Home The Liberation Day celebrations started by Minister Amit Shah will be carried forward in a big way.

He claimed that the BRS government renamed the ‘wellness centres’ started by the NDA government as ‘Basti Dawakhana’ in the state.

“But, you are the duplicate, we are the original. People of Telangana know that,” he said.

Stating that only BJP can defeat BRS, he asked those opposing BRS and its alleged corruption, family politics and others to strengthen BJP.

Union Minister for Tourism and Culture G Kishan Reddy, State BJP President and Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar and other party leaders were present on the occasion.

Sanjay Kumar started the fifth phase of his padyatra on November 28 in Nirmal district.

He had started his statewide padyatra last year after offering prayers at the Bhagya Lakshmi temple at Charminar in Hyderabad.
