Nair was speaking on the fourth Bennett University ConvocationWhere he was awarded Doctor of Philosophy (Honoris Causa) in the field of business for his exemplary achievements.
A total of 709 students – 11 PhD, 54 postgraduate, 628 undergraduate and 16 postgraduate diploma – received their degrees. The function was presided over by Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel in virtual mode while the actor Ranveer singh was the special guest.
In a video message, the governor said: “I extend my best wishes to all the students, parents and teachers for the 4th convocation. The university has come in great shape. It is a proud moment for the students who graduated from this renowned institution.” University.”
Ranveer Singh, who received an encouraging response from the students after the ceremony and interacted with them, said, “Success is the measure of the beneficial footprint you leave on society.” He told the students, “Always be honest in your dealings, don’t do wrong to anyone, don’t be corrupt. Be grateful for everything that you have got. Believe in yourself. Take your time and your energy to be productive and positive. Focus on. Pursue excellence, not success.” He cautioned the students that social media is not real life and urged them not to be obsessed with “cheap recognition”.

If you find this ‘why’ of your life, you can deal with the ‘how’ and the ‘what.’ It is important that you follow your instincts and interests.”
“Many of us are stuck in jobs that we don’t like. That’s because we often do what our peers or family or society expects of us. Instead, find the kind of work you like are good, and that gives you joy and satisfaction. It could be a salaried job, or it could be your own start-up. Once you do, even an 18-hour day will feel like fun, not hard work ,” said Jain.
He said conferring the honorary degree on Nair was a recognition of “not one, but two deeply touching trends – the rise of Indian entrepreneurship and the growth of women’s empowerment”.
Jain and Singh also felicitated 15 students of Upper Primary School, Kasna and handed them gift baskets and bags along with books.
Palak Devashish Vakil was awarded the Chancellor’s Gold Medal for overall star performance including academic excellence. Four chancellor’s silver medals were awarded to Jai Chhabra (Cultural Activities), Avishka Sharma (Best All-round Student), Mane Pradyumna Bhagwan (Innovation and Entrepreneurship) and Aviral Madan (Sports). Fourteen Vice Chancellor’s Gold Medals were also awarded to the batch toppers of the respective programmes.
In his annual report on the university, Vice-Chancellor Prabhu Kumar Agrawal said that BU has grown from strength to strength in the last six years from an initial batch of 200 students to close to 5,500 students as “we begin the new academic year … our Program offerings have also grown from four degree programs to 29.
