Rejecting the allegation, AICC general secretary KC Venugopal said leaders of political parties have been invited. The national secretaries of both CPI(M) and CPI are among the invitees.

The Kerala unit of the CPI(M) is miffed over Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan not being included in the list of special invitees for the swearing-in ceremony of his Karnataka counterpart Siddaramaiah on Saturday.

Rejecting the allegation, AICC general secretary KC Venugopal said leaders of political parties have been invited. Both the national secretaries of CPI(M) and CPI are among the invitees.

Not inviting Vijayan does not bode well and shows that governance in Karnataka will not go well, said EP Jayarajan, the convenor of the ruling Left Democratic Front, the state’s top CPI(M) leader.

Although the Congress party has called Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin.
