Kerala relaxes working hours for employees with autistic children

The Kerala government on Wednesday announced relaxation of working hours for its employees suffering from autistic disorder, cerebral palsy, multiple disabilities and mental retardation.

The government said in a statement here that one of the government employees who is the parent of a child with 40 per cent or more disabilities will be given relaxation in working hours.

It added that one such employee would be allowed a maximum of 16 hours out of the total working hours in a month.

This is in addition to the concessions currently being given to government employees.
