The Kerala Story Box Office Collection Day 2: Sudipto Sen’s film “The Kerala Story”, starring Adah Sharma in the lead, has created quite a stir because of its controversial subject. The film hit the theaters on 5 May and received mixed reviews from both critics and audiences. While some praised the genius of the film, others criticized it as a propaganda film. Despite controversies surrounding its release, “The Kerala Story” earned a significant collection on its opening day. The early box office estimates for Day 2 suggest that the film saw a substantial increase in revenue on Saturday.
After a strong opening day, “The Kerala Story” continued its successful run at the box office. The film earned Rs 8.03 crore on the first day in India. For the second day, early estimates suggest that the film earned a whopping Rs 11.22 crore in India, taking the total collection to Rs. 19.25 cr. On 6 May, the Hindi occupancy rate of the Adah Sharma starrer stood at 36.13% overall.
Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote on social media, “#TheKeralaStory is sensational, sets #BO on fire on second day… Shows Big Gains in all circuits… Hits Double Digits, one for a film Remarkable achievement that is *not* riding on stardom, but word of mouth… Fri 8.03 Cr, Sat 11.22 Cr. Gross: ₹ 19.25 Cr. Growth/Fall.. Sat: [growth] 39.73%.”
