Both the Korean carmakers are contributing well in promoting the electric vehicle segment in India by offering their respective models. The EV crossover based on the same platform has a lot of similarities. Kia EV6 Vs Hyundai Ionic 5: features
Based on the same electric-global modular platform (e-GMP), the Kia EV6 and Hyundai Ioniq 5 share many components with each other. With a sleek design and sharp side lines, the Kia EV6 gets the signature tiger-nose grille and LED headlamps. At the rear, the EV6 is equipped with a C-pillar, forward-raked rear glass, raised tail-lamp section and flared rear-wheel arch.
The Hyundai Ioniq 5 sports the traditional crossover utility vehicle design and sharp body lines and creases. Similar to the Kia EV6, the Ioniq 5 gets a rear glass and C-pillar, but more conventional-set tail-lamps.
In terms of interiors, the Kia EV6 will likely come equipped with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, signature two-spoke steering wheel, linked car technology and more.

Kia EV6 vs Hyundai Ioniq 5: Powertrain and Range
The Kia EV6 and Hyundai Ioniq 5 also share the same powertrain. Both the crossovers will use a single electric mill that delivers 168 hp power and 349 Nm of torque to the rear wheels.
The EV6 and Ioniq 6 will also have two powertrains as optional – a single-motor producing 225 hp and 349 Nm and a dual-motor producing 320 hp and 604 Nm with the all-wheel-drive option.
Both the EVs are powered by a 58 kWh lithium-ion polymer battery that will provide a claimed range of 373 km in the Kia EV6 and 354 km in the Hyundai Ioniq 5.
The EVs also get a 77.4 kWh battery. With this battery the Ioniq 5 offers a claimed range of 487 km in RWD and 411 km in AWD. The EV6’s 77.4 kWh battery offers a specified range of 499 km in RWD and 440 km in AWD.
Kia EV6 Vs Hyundai Ioniq 5: Expected Price
Expected to be launched in June 2022, the Kia EV6 price in India is expected to be around Rs 65 lakh – Rs 70 lakh (ex-showroom).
Expected to be launched in the second half of 2022, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 will be priced from Rs 60 lakh (ex-showroom) in the Indian market.
