The Internet is a source of many inspiring and heartwarming stories that we find on our daily scroll through our social media feeds. We often encounter stories of strangers who perform random acts of kindness and take everyone by surprise. One such recent news caught our attention and really brought a smile to our faces. A couple visits their favorite restaurant ‘The Big Cheese & Pub’ in Rhode Island in northern England, United States. He decided to work his way up to the restaurant and waitress and left a huge tip of $810 or Rs. About 62 thousand. This was added to their order for only $48! Thank you to the longtime patrons for their generosity,” read the caption of the post. In the click, we could see a total bill of $48 and up to 17 cents. A handwritten amount of $810 was added to the bill as a generous tip.
Tip-received waitress Jennifer Vernacio said it was the first time she received such a huge tip after working as a waitress for 20 years. “To the gentleman and his wife who left that generous tip, I just want to say thank you very much. It means a lot,” said Vernancio NBC 10, “The kindness behind it and making my day go from being a little busy to that kind of tip helped me smile for the rest of the day.”
She is also a single mom and said that the tip came at a time when she could really use it. “It was so kind of them, people didn’t know what a difference it made,” agreed the restaurant manager. Kim Tierney,
