KIIT’s engineering programs get ABET (US) accreditation – Times of India

The prestigious Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET), USA has recognized KIIT Deemed as one of the six engineering programs of the University. ABET is the leading global accreditation organization for engineering and engineering technology programs. Regarded as the ‘Gold Standard’ for engineering education, it assures that the programs meet quality standards that prepare graduates to enter the global workforce.

With this accreditation, KIIT has become the only institute in the country to be accredited by ABET (USA) in all six engineering programmes. In addition, KIIT Deemed to be University is also recognized by all the statutory bodies of the Government of India. Six programs of KIIT-DU have received ABET (US) accreditation in one go due to their quality education and other aspects.

ABET’s peer-review process is highly regarded around the world as it adds significant value to academic programs in technical disciplines, where quality, accuracy and safety are paramount. Congratulating the students and faculty of KIIT, Dr Achyut Samant, Founder, KIIT and KISS said that this is yet another recognition for the high quality programs of KIIT, which effectively prepare students for global careers. Dr Samant said that it is very prestigious for any technical university to get ABET accreditation.
