How to clean a burnt cooker? Here are 5 easy tips to clean the pressure cooker:

1. Warm up with water

Hot water is known to scrub away dirt and grime, and in this case, stuck-on burnt-on food. Fill the cooker with water and let it boil and let it boil for about 15 minutes. The food residue will loosen and can be easily removed when washing the cooker later.

2. Use Baking Soda

If the scum in your pressure cooker is not from a previous cooking session but has been sitting for a long time, add baking soda to the water and then put it on the stove and boil for at least an hour. Wash it after it cools down.

3. As a substitute for onions

If you’ve run out of baking soda, use onion peels for tough stains. Throw some onion peels in the water and cover the place to clean the inside of the cooker. Boil for half an hour on high flame and then wash the cooker.

4. Vinegar for white marks

If white marks of mineral deposits are bothering you instead of black marks, then get rid of them with the help of vinegar. Vinegar is acidic and will help dissolve hardened crud. Add 1 cup of white vinegar to the water and fill the pressure cooker with water. Leave it overnight and wash it the next morning.

5. Liquid Detergent Can Do the Trick

If the stain is not too tough, add some warm water and liquid detergent to the cooker and leave it for two hours. Then scrub and wash with warm water as usual.

Let your pressure cooker ‘shine’ like the star of your kitchen again.
