KK passes away: 2 hours of live concert, an Instagram post – hours before the singer’s death

Renowned Bollywood singer and composer KK (Krishnakumar Kunath) passed away in Kolkata on Tuesday night. He was 53 years old. A few hours before his death, KK was performing at a concert at Nazrul Manch organized by Vivekananda College, where he sang for about an hour. The singer also posted a picture from the concert and captioned it, “Gig dancing to Nazrul onstage tonight. Vivekananda College!! Love you all”.

After the concert, Keke moved to a hotel, and she began to feel restless. KK died of a suspected heart attack. “After reaching his hotel, he felt heavy and soon collapsed,” said an official.

KK was brought to a private CMRI hospital in Alipore around 10 pm, but before his treatment could begin, the singer had already died. Doctors at the hospital said they suspected the cause of death to be “cardiac arrest”. According to news agency PTI, a post-mortem will be conducted on Wednesday to ascertain the exact cause of death.

KK is survived by his wife and two children. He was on a two-day visit to Kolkata and was to return to New Delhi on Wednesday.
