KK’s last rites were performed by his son Nakul on Thursday at the Versova Hindu Cemetery in Mumbai. Several celebrities including Rahul Vaidya, Udit Narayan, Javed Akhtar, Shankar Mahadevan, Vishal Bhardwaj, Rekha Bhardwaj, Shreya Ghoshal, Alka Yagnik, Shilpa Rao and Papon paid their last respects to the singer. The singer died of a heart attack on Tuesday.

Television actor Nakuul Mehta is hospitalised. On Tuesday, the actor released a statement and mentioned that he has had his appendix removed. He also spoke about how ‘filming is going to be affected’ due to his health. Nakul is currently seen in Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2 with Disha Parmar. Now he is likely to resume shooting for the show from June 8.

After Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh Akshay Kumar Starrer Samrat Prithviraj has also been made tax free in Uttarakhand. State Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced this on Thursday and said, “We have decided to make film emperor Prithviraj tax-free in the state.” Apart from Akshay, the film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Sonu Sood and he is Bollywood beginning of miso World 2017 Manushi Chhillar. It will hit the theaters on June 3.
Kartik Aryan and Kiara Advani Starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 continues to dominate the box office. The film, which released on May 20, is now approaching Rs 150 crore at the box office. According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 earned Rs 4.85 crore on its 13th day. With this, the total collection of the film has now gone up to Rs 137.54 crore.
In a major relief, the Kerala High Court has granted interim relief from arrest till Tuesday to actor and producer Vijay Babu. This means that Babu cannot be arrested till June 7. Vijay has been accused of sexual abuse and a case has been registered against him. The Kerala High Court had earlier granted him protection from arrest till Thursday, June 1.
