Kovid-19: 31,222 new cases registered in India, active cases less than 4 lakh

India reported 31,222 new covid-19 case The total in the last 24 hours rose to 33,058,843, informed the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Tuesday.

Out of 31,222 new cases, 19,688 cases have been reported in Kerala alone in the last 24 hours.

Less than 50,000 new cases are being reported daily for 72 consecutive days.

As a result, the number of active cases in India has come down to 3,92,864. Active cases comprise 1.19 per cent of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate was recorded at 97.48 per cent, the ministry said.

Death toll rises to 4,41,042. happened With 290 fresh deaths.

The total number of people recovering from Kovid-19 has increased to 3,22,24,937.

The weekly positivity rate at 2.56 per cent is less than 3 per cent for the last 74 days. The daily positivity rate is 2.05 percent.

The daily positivity rate has remained below 3 per cent for the last 8 days and below 5 per cent for 92 consecutive days.

To detect the presence of this virus in individuals, the ministry informed that a total of 53.31 crore tests have been conducted in the country so far.

India’s COVID-19 tally had crossed the 20 lakh mark on August 7, 2020, 30 lakh on 23 August, 40 lakh on 5 September and 50 lakh on 16 September. It had crossed 60 lakh on 28 September, 70 lakh on 11 October. 80 lakh on 29 October, 90 lakh on 20 November and crossed the one crore mark on 19 December.

The country crossed the grim milestone of 20 million on 4th May and 30 million on 23rd June this year.
