Kovid-19 update: 3,207 new cases, 29 deaths reported in India in last 24 hours

India reported 3,207 new Covid-19 cases on Monday, registering a marginal decline in cases, according to updated data from the Union Health Ministry. According to the Health Ministry data, a total of 3,410 people were reported to have recovered on Monday. While the country’s active cases stood at 20,403, 29 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours, the health ministry data further revealed.

Meanwhile, according to the Delhi government’s health bulletin, the national capital recorded 1,422 new Covid cases on Sunday. 1,438 COVID-19 The patients recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the cumulative number of people who have recovered since the start of the pandemic in the city to 18,62,136.

The city currently has 5,939 active COVID-19 cases. With 26,647 samples tested in the last 24 hours, the positivity rate on Sunday stood at 5.34%. No loss of life has been reported in the city due to this disease and Kovid in the last 24 hours. the death toll Delhi has 26,179. At present, there are 1,896 containment zones in the national capital.

Under the vaccination drive in the city, 51,761 beneficiaries received COVID-19 shots in the said period, taking the cumulative vaccine dose so far to 3,37,30,034.

Meanwhile, India, which has reported 3,451 fresh infections in a day, saw a slight decrease in Covid-19 cases, taking the active cases of the disease to 20,635, according to data from the Union Health Ministry. On Saturday, the country recorded 3,805 new Covid-19 cases.

Active cases now account for 0.05% of total infections, the health ministry said, adding that the country’s COVID-19 recovery rate is 98.74%.

The ministry said that 40 people have also died due to Kovid-19 infection in the last 24 hours in the country. In India, the daily positivity rate is 0.96% while the weekly positivity rate is 0.83%.
