Kovid-19 vaccination: From UP to Maharashtra, these states have the highest coverage

India is set to create history by achieving the target of vaccinating over 100 crore people against the coronavirus vaccine on Thursday. India’s nationwide Covid-19 vaccination began on January 16 and before the completion of a year, India is set to achieve this milestone by the end of the day.

To complete the administration of 100 crore Covid-19 vaccine doses, the country’s largest Khadi tricolor, which weighs around 1,400 kg, will be displayed at the Red Fort. It will be the same tricolor whose dimensions are 225 feet x 150 feet, which was hoisted on October 2 – Gandhi Jayanti – Leh.

Apart from this, many other programs have also been organized. Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya will launch a song by singer Kailash Kher and an audio-visual film at the Red Fort.

Out of the total vaccination coverage, 39.73 crore have received the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine between the ages of 18 and 44, while 11.57 crore have received both the doses in the same age group.

Among Indian states, Uttar Pradesh has given the highest number of vaccine doses (above 12 crore), followed by Maharashtra and West Bengal.

Globally, India will become the second country to achieve the 100 billion Covid vaccine dose milestone. China has achieved this record long ago. Currently, China has given 2,232,589,595 doses of coronavirus vaccines. The US has given a total of 408,488,638 doses so far. The total dosage numbers are Brazil (259,937,358), Germany (110, 223,043), Turkey (114,620,510), Japan (182,079,899), and France (101,500,513).
