Kovid cases rise in Karnataka as weekend curfew begins this week. top point

A weekend curfew has been imposed by the Karnataka government in the state capital Bengaluru and other parts of the state in the light of rising Covid cases in the city. The decision was announced after an important meeting today in the light of the COVID situation in the state.

The guidelines announced for Karnataka are as follows:

  1. Weekend curfew will be imposed in the state from 10 pm on Friday to 5 am on Monday from this week.
  2. All classes except 10 and 12 will be conducted in online mode in Bengaluru city.
  3. The current night curfew in the state will continue till January 21.
  4. Cinemas, halls, pubs, bars and restaurants will operate at 50% capacity.
  5. For wedding events, 200 people are allowed if they are held in open spaces, and 100 people are allowed if they are held in closed spaces.
  6. A negative RTPCR report is mandatory for those entering the state from Kerala, Maharashtra and Goa.
  7. Religious places will be opened for darshan only. Entry of people will be restricted to 50 persons at any one time and full vaccination is mandatory for entry.
