The Karnataka Examinations Authority, KEA, commenced the registration window for the Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET) 2023. The registration period began on September 11 and will wrap up on September 30. Candidates can submit their KSET 2023 application forms online at kea.kar.nic.in, which is the KEA’s official website. The official announcement states that the KSET 2023 will be held on November 26 and that the deadline for fee payment is October 3. In Karnataka, the KSET is employed for evaluating candidates for assistant professorship and lectureship positions.

KSET 2023: Eligibility criteria

Candidates who have obtained at least 55 per cent of the marks (without rounding off) in the Master’s degree exam or an equivalent test for the general category and 50 per cent for the Schedule Category (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Disabilities (PWD), Transgender, and OBCs, i.e. Cat-I, IIA, IIB, IIIA and IIIB. There is no maximum age limit for applicants to register for this exam.

KSET 2023: How to apply

Step 1: Go to kea.kar.nic.in, the official KEA website.

Step 2: Select the link to KSET 2023 on the homepage.

Step 3: A new page where applicants can register themselves will open.

Step 4: Click submit once registered.

Step 5: Sign in to your KSET 2023 student login and fill out the application form.

Step 6: Pay the application fees and click the “Submit” button.

Step 7: Download the page and print a copy of the KSET 2023 application form for future records.

KSET 2023: Application Fee

The examination fee stands at Rs 1000 for General, Cat-IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB, and candidates from other states, while Cat-I, SC, ST, PWD, and Transgender Candidates are charged Rs 700.

KSET 2023: Selection Process

The KSET 2023 has been divided into two papers, each of which will have objective type Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs). Paper 1 will include 50 mandatory objective-type questions, each worth 2 marks. The candidate’s ability to teach and do research will be evaluated by general questions in Paper 1. Paper 2 will, on the other hand, consist of up to 100 questions each worth two marks and dependent on the candidate’s chosen subject.
