New Delhi: Special Investigation Team (SIT) is probing the case. Lakhimpur Kheri violence The incident demanded that 13 arrested accused, including Union minister Ajay Mishra Teni’s son Ashish, be charged with attempt to murder.
Based on the investigation, the SIT moved the court adding charges of attempt to murder, voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapons and acts committed by several persons in furtherance of common intention.
SIT investigating officer Vidyaram Diwakar said, “The incident was intentional and not negligent or negligent.”
Therefore, the SIT also sought to change the charges of speeding or riding on a public road, causing grievous hurt to any person, causing death by negligence. Whereas, charges of murder, rioting, armed rioting have already been made in the incident.
On October 3, eight people, including four protesting farmers, were killed after they were rammed by an SUV allegedly belonging to Union minister Ajay Mishra Teni’s son Ashish Mishra.
Those arrested in the case include Ashish Mishra, Lavkush, Ashish Pandey, Shekhar Bharti, Ankit Das, Latif, Shishupal, Nandan Singh, Satyam Tripathi, Sumit Jaiswal, Dharmendra Banjara, Rinku Rana and Ullas Trivedi.
