The nation woke up to the heart-wrenching news of Lata Mangeshkar’s demise on Sunday. The legendary singer was admitted to the hospital last month after testing positive for Covid-19. While he showed signs of recovery last week, his condition worsened on Saturday. The doctor treating her told the media on Sunday that Lata died due to multi-organ failure. Tributes poured in from across the country and also from Pakistan for the singer.

Many stars including Amitabh Bachchan and Anupam Kher reached Lata Mangeshkar’s house on Sunday afternoon to pay their last respects. The last rites were performed on Sunday evening at Shivaji Park in Mumbai. Several politicians and stars made their way to the funeral and paid their last respects. Those who attended the funeral included PM Narendra Modi, Shah Rukh Khan, Sachin Tendulkar, Aamir Khan and Ranbir Kapoor.
Ranbir Kapoor also made headlines the day a new report claimed that the actor is getting married this summer. Ranbir is dating Alia for the last few years. An ETimes report claims that Ranbir and Alia are planning an April 1 wedding and the initial preparations have begun in both the Kapoor and Bhatt families. The report said, “Those in the know believe that Ranbir-Alia will choose to get married in Ranthambore, Rajasthan as this is where both of them have spent the most holidays and it is the favorite place for both of them.”

Meanwhile, Malaika Arora and Arjun Kapoor’s social media banter caught the attention of their fans on Sunday. The 48-year-old actress shared a stunning picture of herself relaxing by the pool on Instagram. Malaika was seen wearing a bright orange bikini top and teamed it up with black shorts. She captioned the picture, “Sunday sunny side up……” was the first comment by Malaika’s boyfriend Arjun Kapoor. “Nice caption,” he wrote, adding a rolling eye emoji.
Sunil Grover recently had to undergo heart surgery after blocks were found in two of his arteries. The third artery was also nearly blocked. He was discharged from the hospital a few days ago. On Sunday, a report suggested that Salman Khan had asked his team of doctors to keep a watch on Sunil. Salman and Sunil worked in the film Bharat and are said to be good friends. “The actor asked his team of doctors working with Being Human to ensure that everything is fine. Salman’s team also monitored Sunil’s heart surgery.
