Lending a ‘horn’: Beautiful video shows buffalo rescuing a turtle by overturning

The heartwarming stories about animals helping other animals are wonderful to watch and it’s no surprise when the content around it goes viral. The animals are recognized for their compassion and love for each other and seem to understand and help each other despite their lack of communication. In a similar incident, a buffalo was seen assisting a tortoise that was stuck on its back.

In a video that became popular on Twitter, the buffalo saved the turtle by overturning. Sushant Nanda, an IFS officer, posted the video on Facebook with the caption, “May everyone be kind… Buffalo saves a turtle by rolling over.”

In the video, the buffalo can be seen using its horn to try to straighten a turtle resting upside down on the ground. The buffalo can be seen trying to free the turtle from its horn for a long time. After some time, her persistence pays off, and she is able to straighten the turtle before departing. The buffalo saves the turtle by overturning it.

It is amazing how the buffalo is able to understand when the turtle needs help or what its ideal resting position is. It is also always interesting to watch animals bond with animals outside their species. This is of interest to animal lovers, but even viewers who are consumers of the Internet have a big role to play in the constant flow of animal-conversation-animal content.

It can be safely said that humans can learn a trick or two from these animals, who possess and exhibit superior emotional intelligence. If intelligence is described as the ability to learn, understand, reason, resolve issues and understand one’s environment, then this buffalo appears to be truly intelligent. It’s a lesson in kindness, but also one of empathetic problem-solving.

Several users shared their experiences of animals taking care of each other. One user said, ‘I had a turtle for 6 years, it has the ability to roam on its own. He would fall while trying to crawl around the furniture but would come back in seconds. They are an absolutely magnificent breed of reptiles.”

Another tweeted: “Nowadays just need to learn from animals because humans lost humanity”

The video was also tweeted on Twitter by another handle @buitengebieden_, with the clip garnering over 6.8k retweets and 49.1k likes. It has been viewed over 846.5k times.

“It makes me want to be a full-time vegetarian,” said one user under that video.

Another said, “Looks like he knows what he’s doing, it wasn’t just playing around or anything. The way he did after pausing and turning his head – like that announcement.” Doing that I did it.”
