Like Tesla, SpaceX Will Soon Accept Doge Pay for Merch, Elon Musk Says

After Tesla, Elon Musk now plans to allow payments in Dogecoin (DOGE) for the purchase of his space maker, SpaceX merchandise. Musk—who has openly shown his resemblance to Doge for the past few years—will soon start accepting the coin as payment for SpaceX merch.

“Tesla merch can be bought from Doge, soon even SpaceX merch,” Musk said via his Twitter account.

Tesla began to accept Doge to their business in January of this year.

At Tesla, in order to make purchases using Dogecoin at the Tesla Shop, a customer must have a “Dogecoin Wallet”.

According to the company’s website, when checking out with Dogecoin, the payment page will display the Tesla Dogecoin wallet “address” in both alphanumeric code and QR code form so that you can connect to your Dogecoin wallet to transfer Dogecoin. It is the Buyer’s responsibility to ensure that Dogecoin is correctly transferred to Tesla’s Dogecoin Wallet.

On Sunday, DogeCoin is currently trading at $0.08239 with an increase of 1.14%. Its market cap is around $10.92 billion. It currently ranks 10th among the top 100 cryptocurrencies in terms of market cap.

Doge is down a little over 4% over the past seven days. Its monthly decline is around 42%. Whereas in one year, there has been a decline of about 73 percent in Doge.

Created by Billy Marcus of Portland, Oregon, and Jackson Palmer of Sydney, Australia, Dogecoin (DOGE) is based on a popular internet meme ‘Doge’, and also features a Shiba Inu on its logo. It is an open source digital currency. Since it contains the Doge meme, Dogecoin’s founders believe that the coin is a fun, light-hearted cryptocurrency and has the potential to attract beyond bitcoin’s original audience.
