Lionel Messi has had a rough start to his career at Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) following his move from Barcelona. In all competitions, the Argentine forward has appeared in only eight matches and scored three goals in the Champions League. His injury prevented him from playing for PSG’s Ligue 1 game in Bordeaux. The six-time Ballon d’Or winner decided to spend quality time with his lovely wife, model Antonella Roccuzzo, during a temporary break.
Messi and Antonella joined in black as they spent a lovely evening in Paris. Antonella shared a post on Instagram, which included some romantic pictures of the couple. Posing in front of the beautifully lit Eiffel Tower, the two painted a delightful picture. Messi wore a black turtleneck and layered it with a matching overcoat. Antonella looked very beautiful in a body hugging dress and black heels. The second picture posted by them shows the pair sharing a passionate kiss. In the caption, she wrote, “Te amo tanto, mi amor,” which roughly translates to ‘I love you so much, my love’.
Messi and Antonella married in 2017 and the ceremony has been known as Argentina’s ‘Wedding of the Century’. Antonella has known Messi since she was five years old. She later met him through cousin Lucas Scaglia, a close friend of the football star. The couple are now parents to Thiago, 8, Mateo, 5, and Ciro, 3.
One of the greatest football players of all time joined the Barcelona club as a schoolboy. Messi’s illustrious trophy-laden career with the team came to an end this summer. He bid a tearful farewell to his childhood team, for which he debuted in 2003.
Meanwhile, Messi has got the green signal to play for Argentina after sitting out after suffering injuries in the last two matches. Currently, PSG are placed at the top of the league table with 34 points from 13 matches. Ligue 1 legend Leonardo Araujo has expressed regret over Messi’s call for his country’s World Cup qualifiers.
