Lok Sabha: Bills of 172 private members will be presented today in the middle of the budget session

A total of 172 private members’ bills will be introduced in the Lok Sabha today amid the budget session of Parliament. Whereas 27 private member bills will be brought in the Rajya Sabha.

According to a report in Hindustan Times, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) member Asaduddin Owaisi will introduce three bills, including the Right to Water, which seeks to provide a workable framework for the realization of the right. Water. And, in the Rajya Sabha, Trinamool Congress (TMC) Derek O’Brien will introduce a bill on effective management, prevention and preparedness of the pandemic.

The Parliamentary Standing Committee related to the department can also introduce the bill on education, youth, sports, women related matters on Friday.

Meanwhile, two persons have been arrested for allegedly firing at AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi’s convoy when he was leaving for Delhi from Meerut’s Kithod area after campaigning in Uttar Pradesh.

Owaisi will raise the issue of security breach and attack on his convoy in Parliament today. The MPs will meet Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla to discuss the issue.
